The Courses
JaLS GROUP curriculum focuses on oral skill
development, providing many opportunities for
students to use their Japanese inside and outside
of the classroom. The staff teach and encourage
students to use Japanese in everyday conversations
and believes that practical use of Japanese is a key part
of the learning process. Topics are varied and appeal
to a variety of interests allowing for students to enjoy
themselves and succeed in reaching their personal
goals. Students also have many opportunities to
develop their conversational skills through interviews
with local Japanese people, language exchanges with
Japanese students, giving presentations, and engaging
in group discussions. Small class sizes make it easy for
students to take advantage of these opportunities.
Since its foundation in 2012, JaLS GROUP has provided
warm, friendly, and family-like environments for
students. Hokkaido JaLS and the newly opened
Kyoto JaLS are both dedicated to providing the best
experience possible. Small class sizes with a maximum
of eight students provide low-pressure environments
where students make new friends in classes led by
highly experienced instructors. With two location
options, students are able to choose the type of
adventure they wish to embark on. Whether it be in the
great nature of Hokkaido or Japan’s old capital Kyoto,
each school provides many cultural experiences and
activities where students can practice their Japanese in
real-life situations and make friends with local people.
Students from over 30 countries gather at JaLS GROUP
schools every year. This makes wonderful opportunities
for students to improve their language skills together!
Catering to seven different levels of Japanese from
beginner to advanced, all students are welcome to
study with JaLS GROUP!
