A SEN School
As an inclusive school providing an outstanding
and caring education, Ernesettle welcomes special
educational needs & disabilities (SEN) students. The
school ensures that each child with SEN requirements
will be provided with well thought-out strategies to
overcome any learning barriers they may have.
Learning at Ernesettle
Ernesettle Community School makes all of their lessons
fun and engaging by creating unique experiences
such as science experiments and whole-class music
sessions. Children are also taken out of the classroom
to continue their education on subsidised school
trips to local historical landmarks, for example, to
learn about British history, and the great outdoors to
learn about geography and the natural environment.
To assist busy parents, the school encourages
extracurricular activities, allowing children to stay in
school longer and have more opportunities to learn
and develop. These involve ‘Early Morning Lessons’, the
‘Breakfast Club’ and the ‘After School Club’ as well as
sports including football, netball, dance, gymnastics
and even field gun sessions.
