What does a leadership programme
with Global Leadership Academy
typically entail?
Every day in the Global Leadership Academies, youth
participants practice different leadership skills driven
by our custom experience-based approach. On any
given day youth can expect to engage in teams to
experience various challenges, service-learning or
cultural exposure trips, sports competitions, artistic
collaborations, outdoor adventures, inspirational
speakers, and leadership development workshops
resulting in lifelong learning and friendships.
A unique graduation requirement is that each
participant will design and lead their own D.R.E.A.M.
service project supported by six months of online
coaching. The results are successful projects that
differentiate these young leaders when they apply to
universities, scholarships for school!
Your spring break and summer
programmes take place in Canada
and the United Kingdom. How
does this international experience
benefit the students?
Canada and the United Kingdom are among the
world’s top locations for international student
education (Source: OECD, 2019). Canada is the
seventh most popular but its international students’
numbers are growing at its fastest rate (120% since
2010). The more established UK is the second most
popular with more than 400,000 students. That
makes these two locations ideal as some of the
most sought-after education destinations for aspiring
global university bound secondary students aged 12-18.
Participant’s in our program not only get a chance
to see and learn about the culture, but through our
experienced-based approach they get to engage
and immerse themselves in various community
organisations that not only inform their understanding
but build a strong resume and university application
essay selling point.
