What have previous interns gone on
to achieve post-placement?
We are in touch with our alumni who took part in
the CHP Programme at different moments of their
studies. The college students successfully applied
to prestigious universities. Some of them have
already started to work, following the path to their
specialty. We hear back from students presenting
their experience at their universities, and that leads
us as well to create partnerships and do more tailored
specialty placements for specific universities based on
their needs.
Do you have any plans to expand
your business?
Of course! We are continually working on changes
and plans with my team. One of them is to connect
all the alumni students around the globe into a well-
functioning network sharing tips, ideas, jobs, research
positions, and useful information. We’ve launched the
CHP Programme Ambassadors network recently, so
those interested in our study programme can check
and consult all directly with the students who have
previously taken part in it. We will open new specialties
and exciting opportunities for all of our students. And I
am very much looking forward to announcing it.
You are a musician as well as
an entrepreneur; how do those two
aspects of your life complement
each other?
Music helps me tremendously to relax. I think it is
crucial to have a healthy balance in your professional
and private life, as well as hobbies that make you happy
and focused on something entirely separate from
work. I sing in a jazz band with professional musicians;
we’ve been to New Orleans recently, and it is just like
a dream come true. Sometimes it is hard to combine
the shows with the early mornings in the hospital. But
it boosts me with energy, and I simply love both my
work and music.
Would you encourage interns to
experience other aspects of life in
Czechia too?
Absolutely, yes! To get to know the country is a part
of the experience of travelling abroad. It is essential
for you to make an effort to step out of your comfort
zone, search for new opportunities, and try them.
Finding out more about history and the way people
live here can help you understand the context of our
healthcare system. Apart from that, our students like to
take weekend trips abroad – for which the position of
Prague, the so-called Heart of Europe, is perfect.
