What would you advise to other
students who are thinking of doing
a medical placement?
Investing in yourself is the best investment you could
make. I would highly recommend that you do as many
extracurricular activities as you can.
What approach and qualities should
a good mentor and a good mentee
possess?
A good mentor should be able to adjust to the level
of the student whenever they are explaining a subject.
A good mentee should respect and show interest to
his/her mentor by arriving on time, preparing and
following up on the things they learned with further
research.
What do you think about the
Czech healthcare system and
the differences it has from your
country?
I believe the Czech healthcare system is one of the best
in the world. There are well trained senior doctors and
residents, and they have state-of-the-art equipment,
much like the Saudi healthcare system.
What are your goals and wishes
regarding your career?
My short-term goal is to finish medical school; my
medium-term goal is to specialise in surgery; and my
long-term goal is to have great reputation in my field.
The sky is the limit!
