Hillcrest Early Years Academy consistently prepares its
pupils to excel in primary education and beyond. The
Academy is dedicated to building and maintaining a
happy learning environment in the classroom in order
to foster engagement amongst pupils on an individual
level and create a sense of collectiveness across the
cohort. An exciting curriculum, a motivated team of
specialist staff and excellent facilities combine to give
children a fun start to school life, helping to develop
them into high-achievers who are confident, curious
and intuitive.
Hillcrest recognises that pupils have varied learning
styles, and their dynamic curriculum reflects this as
they support a holistic education which nurtures each
child’s intellectual, social, emotional and physical
development. A feeling of community is palpable from
the governors and parents down to staff and pupils
and is reflected by the host of extra-curricular activities
on offer – the student parliament, breakfast and
afterschool clubs and family-friendly Fridays where
parents are invited to tag along to school trips for the
day. The Academy’s most recent Ofsted inspection in
October 2014 received Outstanding in all areas and it is
little surprise that pupils perform well above the local
and national averages year-on-year.
