Ernesettle Community School is an Ofsted rated
‘Outstanding’ primary and nursery school in Plymouth
with over 500 students aged two to 11. It aims to help
its students achieve the highest possible standard
and provide a rich, broad and balanced curriculum
– an aim that is reflected in their vision statement
“always striving to be outstanding, transforming the
aspirations of a community”. The school prides itself
on developing children who are pursuers of excellence
and aspire to be the best they can be in whatever
path they choose to take in their education and future
careers. To help its students achieve success, Ernesettle
offers a wealth of learning resources and continually
engages them in activities and class trips.
The school has impressed the iStudy judges with its
excellent standard of teaching and engagement with
students, parents and the wider community. Ernesettle
Community School has been one of Plymouth’s top
10 primary schools for the last nine years and was
voted winner of the Education Business Awards for
SEN Inclusion and Most Improved School in 2018
and for Educational Visits in 2019. Ernesettle is also a
prestigious National Support School, meaning head
teacher Mr Aaron Meredith uses his expert knowledge
and experience in education to aid other schools in
challenging circumstances.
